Description

1969 Camaro Cowl Induction Air Cleaner Assembly, Flat Smooth Bottom 6485235

Correct early production 1969 Camaro RS, SS, or Z28 Cowl Induction breather. This version features the Early Production Flat "Smooth" Bottom base. Comes complete with air filter and correct Black lid. If doing a restoration of a Camaro, this is a must. Air cleaner snout has the notch. This is the most correct Cowl Induction breather on the market.

Features correct flat smooth bottom, correct 90 degree vent tube elbow, notch on air horn seam and correct distributor relief. Replaces GM PART # 6485235.

* NOTE ~ This is the first design air cleaner used in 1969 for the Cowl Induction (ZL-2) option. There is a lot of debate as to when GM switched to the "Ridged" bottom base. Most say August / September / October there was a transition from the smooth bottom to the ridged, reinforced versions like these Cowl Induction Breathers.
