3 of 5 Need instructions December 22, 2018
Reviewer: Nancy Pelosi from Christoval, TX United States
The latch is not very structurally solid and twists easily.  Care must be taken installing it (no instructions) or it will jam  and the solenoid won't operate.   If the mounting surfaces are not exactly flush (and I mean exactly flush) on all three bolts,  the latch will twist when it is tightened and the solenoid won't work.  I shimmed the lower bolt with a washer between the latch and the car body mounting point and it fixed the problem.     The unit has no installation instructions to tell you how it should be wired.  So,   I just snipped off the wire connectors (which made no sense) and soldered on wires and ran the wires and fuse it to the trunk mounted battery.
